No Make-Up Days for Pasco County Schools

Good Morning Plato Academy Trinity Families,


After receiving confirmation from the Florida commissioner of education that the state is forgiving the two days, Governor Rick Scott ordered all Florida schools closed for Hurricane Irma, Pasco County Schools leaders have determined that the other four hurricane days can be made up without cancelling planned days off. We will not have school any day during Thanksgiving week and no days will be added to the end of the school year.

If we have to cancel any additional school days this year, it is likely that the time will have to be made up by adding school days during Thanksgiving week or at the end of the school year.

If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask.

Dear Plato Academy Trinity Families, 


Under the advisement of Pasco County’s Emergency Management division, All Pasco County Schools will be CLOSED until Monday, September 18th .


All students should not report to school until Monday, September 18, 2017.


Please know that each of our teachers and staff are all safe and accounted for.  I will continue to keep our wonderful families posted with any additional information.

Weather Update and School Closure Announcement

Dear Plato Academy Trinity Families, 


Gov. Rick Scott announced that all K-12 schools in Florida will be closed Friday, September 8th and Monday, September 11th as the state prepares for Hurricane Irma.

All Pasco County Schools will be CLOSED on Friday, September 8th and Monday, September 11th due to weather. All students should not report to school and all staff should not report to work. 


Friday, Sept. 8, 2017 and Monday, Sept. 11, 2017: All schools and district offices will be CLOSED Friday, Sept. 8, 2017 and Monday, Sept. 11, 2017.

All school-related events are cancelled.
  

Looking ahead: It is too early to determine the impact of Hurricane Irma on school operations for Tuesday, September  12. District safety managers will continue to monitor the storm and provide updates as they become available. 

Shelter Information 

Pasco County is opening hurricane shelters for residents who would like to leave their home ahead of Hurricane Irma. The following shelters will open Friday, September 8, at 11 a.m. giving residents a place to ride out the storm:

Fivay High School, 12115 Chicago Ave., Hudson
River Ridge Middle/High School, 11646 Town Center Rd., New Port Richey
Sunlake High School, 3023 Sunlake Blvd., Land O Lakes
Wesley Chapel High School, 30651 Wells Rd., Wesley Chapel
Wiregrass Ranch High School, 2909 Mansfield Blvd., Wesley Chapel (Pet-friendly)

Citizens should first attempt to find shelter with neighbors, relatives or friends. If that is not an option, citizens can self-evacuate directly to the shelter. Pasco County will provide transportation for residents who need assistance getting to a shelter if they call Pasco County Customer Service at 727.847.2411.

*Note: Please plan to eat a meal before you arrive at the shelter, as lunch will not be served Friday, September 8, 2017. The first meal served to shelter residents will be dinner Friday evening. Shelter residents are encouraged to bring snacks/water for their own use.

Pasco County also provides a shelter program for residents who have special needs. Special needs residents must contact Pasco County Customer Service at 727.847.2411 to register for accommodation at the Fasano Regional Hurricane Shelter, located at 11611 Denton Ave., Hudson.

Club Registration Is Being Extended

Weather Update - IMPORTANT SCHOOL CLOSED FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8th

Dear Plato Academy Trinity Families, 


Under the advisement of Pasco  County’s Emergency Management division, All Pasco County Schools will be CLOSED on Friday, September 8th due to weather. All students should not report to school and all staff should not report to work. 


Again, all schools will be closed on Friday, September 8th to include before and after care programs.  

Although the exact trajectory of the storm and impact on our region remains uncertain, our community’s preparedness and the safety of our employees and families are the priority. For this reason, schools and offices will be closed on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017.

We hope this closure will provide our community and employees the time needed to assist their families and prepare for the potential impact of Hurricane Irma.

Looking ahead: It is too early to determine the impact of Hurricane Irma on school operations for Monday, Sept. 11. District safety managers will continue to monitor the storm and an update will be provided on Saturday or Sunday.

Hurricane Harvey Relief Campaign!

Dear Plato Academy Trinity Families,

Gulf High School is collecting goods for the victims of Hurricane Harvey in the Houston area. We would like to join them in their efforts and help collect as much as we can for those victims. Please consider donating any of the following items by Friday, Sept. 8th, which we will then bring to Gulf High. They are collecting the following items:

·        Clothing (new or gently used)

·        Shoes (new or gently used)

·        Towels (new or gently used)

·        Blankets (new or gently used)

·        Soaps

·        Shampoos/Conditioners

·        Deodorant

·        Feminine hygiene products

·        Diapers/wipes

·        Toothbrushes/toothpaste

·        Paper towels/toilet paper

·        School supplies

·        Anything else you can think of!

Plato Academy Extended Care Enrollment Now Open!

Plato Academy is now accepting registration for the upcoming school year for our Extended Care Program!

*Registration Packets are attached and available on-line and will be available at each campus.

ALL registration paperwork and fees must be complete and submitted PRIOR to the first day of school on August 10th (we strongly encourage you to complete and submit prior to Open House)*

**ALL students enrolling in Extended Care must complete a new enrollment packet, even if you have been enrolled in Extended Careprevious school years.**

 

TUITION RATES ARE AS FOLLOWS:

·          $25.00 Non-Refundable, Non-Transferable Annual Registration Fee

·          $25.00 Before Care Only

·          $60.00 After Care Only

·          $70.00 Both Before and After Care

All registration fees and tuition must be paid through Tuition Express.  If you are not yet registered for Tuition Express, please choose one of the options from the forms included in the enrollment packet (automatic withdrawal or online registration which will allow you to pay at your convenience using a debit or credit card).  The on-site Directors at each campus also have the ability to swipe a debit/credit card for payments.  Plato Academy is no longer accepting cash, checks, or money orders as forms of payment.

Plato Academy offers care during Non-Instructional Days from 7:00am-5:45pm.  These dates will be available at no additional cost if you are a registered participant in the After Care Program. Campus availability may vary.  Non-Registered participants may attend care on Non-Instructional Days based on availability and with prior notification at a cost of $25.00 per day.

Please visit your campus website to pre-register and download all the paperwork.
